Have your family come visit and enjoy "Papa's Park" with full play set for the kids to play on and picnic area, BBQ included. We encourage family and friends to regularly participate. It is a very important aspect of your loved ones care and can enhance not only their quality of life, but yours as well. Have a green thumb? Tend to "Nana's Garden" where you can help maintain the vegetation, enjoy the beauty of fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers all grown and maintained by our residents.
Join us in our beautiful dining room where you will enjoy many traditional favorites as well as alternative culinary selections featured on each daily menu. Menus will change seasonally, offering fruits and vegetables of the season.
We serve an overall low sugar, low sodium diet but are able to accommodate specific dietary needs. We encourage residents to come out to all meals, not only for the nutrition, but for the activity of coming out of exercise and socialization. Special dietary needs are always available .
We offer activities daily to each of our residents. Being a home of 15 and staffed typically 3 to 4 caregivers during awake hours, allows us to cater to the individuals desire of activities. Some enjoy our group activities such as Bingo, Crafts, Mind Games, Group Exercise, etc. While others prefer the one on one activities ranging from helping with puzzles, to gardening, to individual walks.
To better serve those special needs and for peace of mind we have installed a nurse call system that will supply a higher quality of care and service. The nurse call system is in each bedroom for the purpose of summoning help in the event of an emergency. All calls are monitored and transmitted to the emergency call software requiring staff to immediately acknowledge the emergency call. This alerts other caregivers that the call is being responded to so that the potential for multiple staff answering the same call or possibly not responding at all.
We promote and encourage all our residents to thrive. We want all our residents to stay as independent as possible – this starts from the day to day tasks of dressing, grooming, bathing, walking etc. We are here to encourage each resident to complete all ADL’s as independently as possible but are present to safely fill in the gaps with our 24-hour awake staff. Our residents range from fairly physically and cognitively independent to residence on our hospice waiver. Our Hospice waiver gives us the opportunity to keep our residents here as long as possible.
